WWOOFERS and HELPX:
We are registered with the Wwoofer (Willing workers on Organic Farms) and HelpX, both organisation give people the opportunity to work on Australian Organic Farms, exchanging labour for meals and accommodation. Every person that stays brings something special with them – unique ideas, great cooking skills and a sense of humour.
Some of the Wwoofers and Helpxérs who have stayed with us over the last few years: Kaori (Osaka, Japan), Kayla (Cold Lake, Canada), Elly and Lloyd (Coventry), Jenni (Kiwi) and Lee (UK), Emma and Kat (UK), Julia and Morgan (France), David (Italy), Isis and Guillum (France), Anja Berscheit (Germany), Tim Brower (USA), Monica Fernandes (Portugal)
Friends and family that have visited and lent a helping hand. Father - Peter Gordon and partner Sandy were the first to stay when they joined us for a month to pick the first olive crop. Brother - John Gordon his wife Emily and son Jetson came for a few days during a school holiday. John being an ex-mechanic came prepared and worked on almost every piece of machinery on the property, even getting most of it working. Lucas a builder from Brisbane has visited several times with his ute full of tools (and winning cakes for the local Ag Show). Lucas has hung doors, installed french doors, hung gates, got our gas hot water working just to name a few things – he hates to be still. We have been very lucky to have friends and family come from various Australian city's come and spend time with us. We try to set this time aside to relax with them, but they all seem to enjoy some aspect of the farm and getting stuck in.
Every pair of hands offering help are gratefully received. Look for us on Helpx.net.
